In 1990, Richard Bowers & Co. became the Atlanta member of TCN Worldwide Real Estate Services, a national affiliation of real estate firms located in over 200 markets with 62 offices located in 8 countries to include North & South America, Europe and Asia that provide local commercial real estate expertise with over 1,200 professionals. Through TCN Worldwide, Richard Bowers & Co. can assist its clients in their commercial real estate needs in every major market in the United States. Richard Bowers served as President of TCN Worldwide in 1993 and in 1994 and served on the Board of Directors for a total of seven years.
Richard Bowers & Co. established Facilitec to assist its clients in facility planning and relocation management. The Facilitec staff is a competent and diverse group of professionals with a broad knowledge base to assist users in the total real estate relocation process. In addition, RB Management Services, Inc. was formed to meet the management and leasing needs of institutions, property owners and corporate facilities. Both of these subsidiary firms have grown, expanded and have become successful organizations in their own right.
In 1995, Richard Bowers & Co. added two additional subsidiary companies, RB Financial Services, Inc. and RB Development Services & Properties, Inc. in order to expand services to our clients as well as provide additional in-house expertise for our commercial brokers. These additional groups round out the necessary disciplines for serving clients in most facets of commercial real estate.
In the fall of 2001, Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business announced the receipt of a significant endowment from Richard E. Bowers, president of Richard Bowers & Co. The endowment is being presented to the college’s department of real estate to support funding of various departmental programs and is named The Richard Bowers & Co. Real Estate Professorship. In January of 2002, Richard E. Bowers received the Georgia State University Distinguished Alumni Award. In October of 2008 Richard received the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University Alumni Award for Service to Robinson College.
